Arne Jacobsen AJ Royal ceiling light, for Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen, known as AJ Royal Pendant

Large version of the famous Celling lamp designed by the Danish architect Arne Jacobsen ( 1902-1971 ) in 1957.
It was originally designed to decorate exclusively the interior of the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, but considered since then a classic of danish modernism, and produced by Louis Poulsen from 1960;s.
The shade is a half sphere with 4 bulbs and a diffuser, which gives a very powerful light downwards and a gently relaxing light to the ceiling through the ring-shaped openings.

This lamp has been Repainted/resprayed/brushed to a gray color (difficult to capture it in the photo, but if you look good you will see it) from a small distance you can't noticed it only if you look very close by. Thats why I lowered the price.

I have two of these repainted gray lamps available, one is better re-brushed than the other and so there is a price difference. you can keep the gray color because i think it still looks very good or paint it in every color you want. otherwise the lamp is in very good original condition.
