Wonderful Bakelite table lamp by E.K.Cole A perfect example of the modernist design from the Bauhaus period. Created by Eric Kirkman Cole, the founder of EKCO Ltd in 1926, this lamp was later produced under license, after the second World War by a large company from the Czech Republic, ESC. It's reflector or shade is freely and independently steerable from its arm. the shade is mounted to a shoulder joint and can be adjusted in all directions, the curved swivel arm rests on a streamlined base with an individual on/off switch The TYP 11126 inscription is visible on the front part of the base.
Very good condition minor wear due to age and use with brown cotton wire and also bakelite 2-pin plug.
